Trader Joe's Reviews: Blueberry Chevre, Candy-like Persimmons, and More!

I recently picked up a few goodies at Trader Joe's and thought I might put in my two cents. Many of these items I purchased have become my new favorite products and others, once in awhile indulgences. Nevertheless, Trader Joe's never fails to impress me!

Unfortunately, my Trader Joe's does not carry the honey variety of goat cheese. I settled for the less than ordinary , "blueberry chevre". Let me just tell you, this stuff is amazing (if you're into creamy and sweet). There are no added sugars except for the blueberry exterior of the log of cheese. Yet, it seems as if has been sweetened? Yum. Tastes like berry cream cheese, but artisan and better texture. When spread on the brown rice tortilla (which I then proceeded to add a few squares of dark chocolate and microwave), that spread on chunk of cheese gave a run for its money! On the other hand, the brown rice variety of Trader Joe's tortillas' are quite the ordinary. Like many other whole grain tortillas, they break when attempted to be folded into a quesadilla. Microwave always works, especially when dark chocolate squares are involved! To say the flavor of the tortilla is remarkable would be of the highest flattery known to man. However, it's still a great tortilla when you need a healthy choice.

I might as well start off by saying that I am a SUCKER for a good, store bought softy chocolate chip cookie.  Before my discovery of health and well-being, I would probably currently be dreaming about Chips Ahoy's chewy variety of cookies (NEVER the crunchies, always the chewies). These TJ's chewy chocolate chip cookies are almost revolutionary. Now, the reason they aren't a ten is because i'm also an oatmeal raisin cookie lover (plugging my ears for those of you who despise em'!). Turns out, there are a few charmingly chewy oatmeal raisin boxes somewhere out there in a TJ's warehouse nearby. Yep. Can't wait. For now, these will more than do.

One word. Candy. These frozen persimmons taste BETTER than ice-cream (if you've had cherries right out of the freezer you know what i'm talking about). The texture is similar to a date and the taste cannot be compared to anything really (in my opinion, of course). One downside though, is that a box of 4 is 4 bucks. Pretty steep (just like my lovely baby dates). Great indulgence due to the price. Still love em'.

Any product suggestions? Let me know!
